2008 CITROEN GT CONCEPT
Chapeau. Citroen became the revolutionary design force that Renault was to me in the 90ies. The GT, in example, is defined in its surfacing - yet wild. Awesome.

2007 BMW CONCEPT CS
Blessed with nice drive train proportions, BMW shows us what nice stance is. And those vast surface landscapes running into tight crease lines... wonderful. The CS is bad ass.

2002 VOLKSWAGEN MAGELLAN INTERIOR
Christian Felske, the master mind behind some cool show car interiors like the Microbus, scores a home run with the insane Magellan interior. Industrial design language on its best.

1998 RENAULT VEL SATIS CONCEPT
Revolutionary package, and still wonderfully familiar appearance. Renault's surface treatment in the 90ies was unprecedented. I am in shock that it never transpired into their production range.

1995 FORD GT 90 CONCEPT
Back in 1995 Ford created this stunner. I disliked it at its time, being blind for it visionary form language. Those large bended surfaces and continuous undercuts are what young car designers draw today.

1994 RENAULT ARGOS
Not a beauty per se, the Argos show car contemplated an upcoming design trend... like the successful Audi TT. That's what a good concept car does.

1988 BERTONE GENESIS
The Genesis is the first "concept car" I ran across. It was in one of my first car magazines I bought and it is quiet amazing too. The pilots sit directly on the wheel arches, only a back rest is in place. And Nuccio Bertone is one of the greatest car designers ever.

1969 FERRARI 512 S BERLINETTA SPECIALE
Pininfarina is another giant in car design. This name stands behind most beautiful Ferraris. But the 512 S Berlinetta with its front-hinged canopy takes your breath away.

1959 CADILLAC CYCLONE XP-74
The time between the 50ies and the late 60ies must have been paradies in the design studios of US car makers. Seriously thinking we together fly to the moon soon and then throwing that spirit on V8 mumbling automobiles.... fantastic!

1957 CHEVROLET CORVETTE SS CONCEPT
I wish we would see small racers again with lost of rubber on the wheels and glass dome canopies. In the sixties, General Motors put some real stunners on the show stands.

2009 WEBB'S GOLDEN SUBMARINE HOMMAGE
Shame on me preferring a replica over an original, but Webbs interpretation of the Golden Submarine race cars is mind twisting. The interior is beautiful metal craftsman ship.

1964 DEAN JEFFRIES'S MANTARAY
Dean Jeffries, a custom car heros in the sixties, built the "Mantaray" in his little shop. I saw it at Peterson Museum in L.A. and its awesome.

2005 BATMAN'S TUMBLER
That sucker looks great from every angle. I love it. People might thing its just a stealthy mess on wheels, but its proportions are perfectly balanced. And Nolan filmed it very well. Wow. What comes next?!
